Do your loading docks present a safety issue when the surfaces get wet, or there is a buildup of grime due to the fork truck traffic? All docks, when new, come with a checkered or "tread" design on their decks which give a variable amount of traction even when new. But over time this traction becomes less and less, especially in high usage areas. The surface of the "tread" wears down, and dirt buildup between the "treads" makes the surface hazardous to "walk" the dock down to the loading position after the holdown mechanism has been released. The Problem is even more critical in wet conditions or areas. We at Roberts Loading Dock have devised a method to remove the dirt buildup along with all "scale" and grime and then apply a 2-part epoxy resin (the same as used for bridge and road repair) with an embedded broadcast surface of aluminum oxide grit.
